Echolocationism is different.
Echolocationism is an album of Ben recording some of the most personal songs he has ever written on his grandfather’s Martin D-28 acoustic guitar. Quite a few of the of the songs were played and sung at the same time with no metronome.
While Ben spent hours rehearsing the songs and preparing the space before recording, much like life, there are still imperfections, timing issues, moments when he couldn’t get the words out just right and moments when the strings rattled and his voice cracked.
Echolocationism is as human as it can be.

In everything we’ve done and will do, there’s going to be a first step. Sometimes it’s tough to change or leave or start or even quit. The first step is always more than just that. The song can be as deep or as silly as you want it to be. For me, it scratches the surface and cuts deep.
